Rachel Abigail Posner and Jason Matthew Weiner were married Saturday at the Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City. Neeshan Mehretu, a friend of the couple who became a Universal Life Church minister for the event, officiated.

The bride, 37, who is keeping her name, teaches English to juniors and seniors at New Design High School in Manhattan. She graduated from Wesleyan in Middletown, Conn., and received two master’s degrees, in fiction writing and in English education, from New York University.
She is the daughter of Harriett O. Posner and Alan R. Posner of East Lansing, Mich. Her father retired as an associate professor of political science at Michigan State University. Her mother retired as an editor at Public Sector Consultants, a public policy research firm, in Lansing, where she edited the company’s documents.
Mr. Weiner, 33, is a membership coordinator at the Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn. He is also responsible for the repair and daily operations of the co-op’s computer system. He graduated from Marymount Manhattan College.
He is the son of Deborah A. Weiner of Swedesboro, N.J., and the late Ian S. Weiner. His mother is a nurse specializing in geriatrics at the Brendenwood Senior Living Facility in Voorhees, N.J. His father was an independent respiratory therapist in Philadelphia and Lansing.
Jennifer Chieh Jeng and Andrew Tyler Tretten were married Saturday off Newport Beach, Calif. Clinton P. Acoutin, a Universal Life minister, officiated aboard the Ambassador, a charter yacht, of which he is also the captain. Richard Zuniga, a lay pastor of the Chinese Evangelical Free Church in Monterey Park, Calif., also took part.
Mrs. Jeng Tretten, 31, is a senior consultant, handling market strategy for retailers’ Web sites, at Deloitte Consulting of New York, a division of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, the financial services company. She works in the Los Angeles office. She graduated with honors from the University of Chicago and received an M.B.A. from M.I.T. She is the daughter of Eva Jeng and Sam S. Jeng of Arcadia, Calif.
The bridegroom, 32, a mechanical engineer, works at the Aerospace Corporation, a federally financed research center in El Segundo, Calif. He graduated from the California Institute of Technology and received a master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the son of Carolyn S. Tretten and Bradford J. Tretten of Reno, Nev.
