I'm The World's Biggest Catholic Drifter

I think we all have a tendency to drift away from what we were taught as children to an extent. Why? I think there is a rebellious side to each of us, but also there is the independence factor.....

 

Hey I want to decide for myself.

 

Plus life is no easy picnic these days, both parents are working, most are livng paycheck to paycheck and it is not that we choose not to take time out to practice our faith, available time is at a premium. When we take time out to rest, or to open the Bible or to say prayers, it is not always going to be on a Sunday.

 

I think too much emphasis is placed on attending Mass or Church Service by some to be viewed or looked upon by others as a practicing Catholic. Attending Church does not make you Catholic, your belief makes you Catholic.

 

Universal Life Church means Catholic Life Assembly, catholic with a small c is defined Christian, being Catholic or being Christian does not mandate you to the Church in Rome or Vatican control. Being Catholic is a choice you make, as is every choice you make in your life, decisions you make enabling the life you wish to live and the faith you choose rests squarely on your shoulders. The Bible is there for how you interpret it, not someone else and this includes the Vatican being able to tell you what to do. The Bible's sole objective is for your own benefit and your individual relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

If you choose to have an abortion, it is your choice and it is you who will need to answer for your actions, not I.

 

If you choose to use birth control, it is your decision and again it is you who will need to answer to God.

 

If you choose to be homosexual or a lesbian, again it is you who will need to answer to God.

 

It is not up to our Universal Life Church or to yours truly to tell you that you are wrong or to pass judgment. I will tell you what the Bible says, but it is up to you as to how you wish to interpret it.

 

We offer to you Sunday Mass online, again if you attend, that is your decision not mine. We offer it on Sunday and every day of the week for you to come and join in at your convenience.

 

Whether you are a man or woman, it is your decision to seek ordination or not, it is not our Churches place or my place to tell you NO YOU CAN'T.

 

If you want to read the Bible, read it. If not, don't read it.

 

We are a Christian Non-denominational or Independent Catholic Church, we don't base acceptance on sexual preference, whether you are pro life or pro choice, whether you use birth control or not, what sex you are. We accept anyone and everyone who believes in our Lord Jesus Christ or who wants to learn more.

 

Come on back, I'm perhaps the biggest Catholic Drifter ever to walk the face of this earth. But I believe in Jesus Christ MY WAY and as leader of the Universal Life Church I want you to believe in Jesus Christ YOUR WAY.

 

Let us walk the PATHWAY together and let us become best friends for all of eternity.
